Description

Join us for a crochet workshop that is a salute to summer!

Are you looking for a super easy scrap yarn project?

Then this is the workshop for you. A twirly whirly whirler is a great project for keeping your hands busy on lazy summer days and using up all the colourful yarn you can lay your hands on.

Why?

  • it gives you some experience at folowing a simple pattern,
  • it’s a quick and easy make so you’ll be finished before you know it,
  • it’s ultimately customisable and you’ll be inspired by the endless colour combinations you can put together,
  • your friends and family will be shocked and amazed at how clever and creative you are!

Including EVERYTHING you need to crochet a Twirly Whirly Whirler, at the end of this session you will be confident in making wind catchers for anyone and everyone. You’ll get a huge range of colours to choose from. We’ll teach you how to calculate your starting chain, insert multiple stitches into the chain and whip up a whirler with the greatest of ease.

You will also get a glass of wine! And cheese!

We’re pretty confident you will finish your project on the day. You will probably make more than one!   And you can stay as long as you like or come back for help on another day if you get stuck. We don’t think you will, though – you’re going to get really good at this.

We’ll meet at The Makers Corner where there is a plenty of room to relax and stitch.

The important stuff:

  • When: Friday 29 September, 5.30pm
  • Where: The Makers Corner, cnr Berrie St & Chapple Lane Gympie
  • Craft: Crochet
  • Skill level: Beginner.  If you’ve never crocheted before then we recommend watching some videos on how to hold your yarn and hook, make a chain and crochet a stitch. Just so you are familiar with the terms and the basic idea.  No fancy stitches are needed for this pattern.
  • Age level: 15 and over
  • Cost: $45 all inclusive

We will workshop until 7.30pm at which point you can choose to go home and finish or stay and finish.  Follow up tutorial will be available if you need it.
