We’re suckers for an MKAL. Join us for 4 fun-filled nights of a Mystery Knit-A-Long in October, featuring the highly anticipated Cowltopus MKAL by Laura Nelkin!

Starting once a week for 4 weeks, we’ll gather at Little Shop For Yarners to work on the latest clue of this unique knitting adventure together. Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or new to the craft, this makealong promises community, creativity, and cozy vibes.

Laura has been inspired by the incredible beauty of the sea and octopuses while designing this cowl. But she promises you won’t wind up with a whole lot of tentacles hanging around your neck once it’s done. Watch the intro video to see why we’re so excited to dive in.

Here’s the plan:

Saturday 5 October 10am – 1pm : choose your colours and needles, wind the yarn, make a gauge swatch together
Wednesday 9 October 4pm – 8pm : we get Kraken on clue 1
Wednesday 16 October 4pm – 8pm : clue 2 octopi’s our time
Wednesday 23 October 4pm – 8pm : ink-credibly, clue 3 is here
Wednesday 30 October 4pm -8pm : clue 4 and that’s a wrap. We guarantee no two pieces will be i-tentacle.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it by 4pm. We won’t leave you behind. Feel free to bring something for dinner. We have a microwave and sandwich press you can use any time.
